Antivirus scanning exclusions

You should exclude the database catalog and data directories from antivirus scanning. Certain antivirus products have been identified as targeting database directories, and sometimes lock or delete files in them. This can adversely affect database performance and data integrity.

Identified antivirus products include the following:

• ClamAV

• SentinelOne

• Sophos

• Symantec

• Twistlock
