Voltage SecureData integration with OTCAD
This topic provides information about integrating Voltage SecureData with OTCAD.
Voltage SecureData
Voltage SecureData is a suite of encryption technologies that let you integrate end-to-end data encryption into other applications. It uses Format-Preserving Encryption (FPE): the encrypted values have the same overall format as the unencrypted data. This feature means you do not have to change the data types of table columns that you want to encrypt. It also preserves reference integrity: the encrypted values have the same sort order as unencrypted data, and encrypted values can be cross-referenced between tables, as long as each instance of the value is encrypted with the same key.
Integrate VoltageSecureData with OTCAD
To establish secure communication between OTCAD and the Voltage SecureData server, share the following information with the support team:
- IP Address - The IP address of the machine on which you have configured Voltage SecureData.
- Hostname - Name of the machine where you have configured Voltage SecureData.
- Policy URL - The weblink of the policies with which Voltage SecureData is configured for data encryption and decryption.
- root.pem certificate - This certificate is required to establish trust and enable secure TLS/HTTPS communication.
