When you create an EC2 instance on AWS using a Vertica AMI, the instance includes the Vertica software and the recommended configuration. The Vertica AMI acts as a template, requiring fewer configuration steps.

This section will guide you through configuring your network settings on AWS, launching and preparing EC2 instances using the Vertica AMI, and creating a Vertica cluster on those EC2 instances.
