Returns the microsecond portion of the specified date as an integer.

Behavior type

• Immutable if thespecified date is a TIMESTAMP, INTERVAL, or VARCHAR

• Stable if the specified date is aTIMESTAMPTZ

MICROSECOND ( date )

Parameters

The date to process, one of the following data types:

• VARCHAR
• TIMESTAMP
• TIMESTAMPTZ
• INTERVAL
