OTCAD provides data analysts and business intelligence professionals with access to powerful analytics and reporting tools, facilitating efficient insights from large datasets.

Monitoring query insights

OTCAD enhances data monitoring by enabling administrators to identify slow, failed, or memory-intensive queries. Administrators can identify the query, request volumes, and total connections over a duration to understand database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization. The Queries by duration, Queries by memory usage, and Queries in queue metrics are enhanced.

Administrators can do the following:

  • Filter data by request status, duration, client type, rows processed, memory acquired, currently running queries, and system v/s user queries.
  • Visualize data over a duration besides viewing data by query ID, query phase, query duration, and query type.
  • Track trends in the amount of data stored within the database using the Database storage metric and trends in the volume of data transferred out of the database using the Data transfer metric.

Data pipelines for loading real-time data from Kafka

OTCAD supports creation and modification of data pipelines for loading real-time data from Kafka. You can create, modify, execute, view details, search, and clone data pipelines.

Database designer

OTCAD optimizes database performance based on previously executed queries using the database designer. Users can view, edit, and run projection statements to fine-tune performance manually.

Maintenance schedule

OTCAD now enables you to define a time and date to schedule the maintenance of your database through the Maintenance schedule option in the Settings page.

During a maintenance event, OTCAD remains fully available and accessible. However, database instances might be offline temporarily sometimes to complete the update.
