TLS authentication and certificate rotation in Kubernetes

The VerticaDB operator now supports TLS authentication for both the HTTPS service and Client-Server communication, improving security by enforcing certificate-based identity verification. TLS certificates are securely accessed from Kubernetes or AWS secrets rather than being stored on disk. Additionally, the operator supports certificate rotation without restarting database nodes, only the HTTPS service and NMA are restarted, keeping your database running smoothly. For more information, see TLS in Kubernetes.

Enable TLS certificate rotation in Kubernetes with AWS Secrets Manager versioning

You can now store certificates in a single AWS Secrets Manager secret and use versioning to manage updates. This allows for seamless certificate rotation by simply changing the secret’s version ID. For more information, see TLS in Kubernetes.

VCluster UI

The VCluster UI is a tool for administering your database. This tool is bundled with OpenText™ Analytics Database installations. VCluster UI works with the VCluster CLI to manage your database. It works with both the EON and Enterprise database types. For more information, see Database management with VCluster UI.
