ADVANCE_EPOCH

Manually closes the current epoch and begins a new epoch.

This is a meta-function. You must call meta-functions in a top-level SELECT statement.

Specifies the number of epochs to advance.

This function is primarily maintained for backward compatibility with earlier versions of Vertica.
